In the town I grew up in, there is a church that has a sign that reads “COME TO CH_ _CH! WHAT IS MISSING?”. Unfortunately, the answer to this riddle also applies to the last few Rotary meetings we’ve had. The turnout has been, to put it charitably, less than stellar.
I realize that everyone can’t make it to every meeting and some of you have conflicts with work schedules that get in the way of frequent attendance and others are on vacation. But out of a club of 36 members, we should be getting at least 20 members to our weekly meetings.
Our speaker schedule is solid. While the menu is temporarily limited, the setup on the covered patio is quite comfortable. Social distancing protocols are in effect. We also have a Zoom option if you’re still not ready for in-person meetings.
Please participate – it’s your club!!! I hope to see you on Thursday morning!
